A Conference for Special Gifted Turkish Students Held in Egypt

Yunus Emre Institute organizes various cultural activities for different age and career groups in its over 80 foreign representative offices across the world.

Cairo Yunus Emre Institute organized a conference titled "Egyptian Pyramids and Culture" for the students of Mamak Science and Art Center, which provides education to special gifted individuals under the Ministry of National Education.

Speaking at the conference hosted by the Institute on June 23, 2023, Cairo Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Emin Boyraz gave information about Turkish history and artifacts in Egypt.

Stating that Türkiye and Egypt have deep historical ties, Boyraz added that the Turkish and Egyptian peoples show great interest and love for each other.

"THANKS TO OUR YOUTH AND CHILDREN VISITING EGYPT, THESE TIES WILL BE EVEN FURTHER STRENGTHENED IN THE FUTURE"

In his speech, Coordinator Boyraz stated, "Thanks to our youth and children visiting Egypt, these ties will be even further strengthened in the future."

Neva Arslanuşak, a student of Mamak Science and Art Center, expressed that she was delighted with the conference and commented, "I was glad to meet Egyptian friends who speak and learn Turkish here."

"THE FACT THAT MY OWN ANCESTORS AND HISTORY GO BACK TO EGYPT IN PARTICULAR HAS CONNECTED ME TO THIS PLACE IN A SPECIAL WAY"

Arslanuşak stated that he benefited from the information given about the Egyptian pyramids and culture during the conference and continued, "I am having a great time here. The fact that my own ancestors and history go back to Egypt in particular has connected me to this place in a special way."

Kays Köftürcü, one of the students, stated that Egypt is a country with a rich culture and it felt wonderful to see the pyramids and learn about them.

Turkish Teacher at Mamak Science and Arts Center Evren Doğan said, "We visited Egypt with nearly 40 students as part of the project we carried out with Yunus Emre Institute. We joined different educational activities in Alexandria, Cairo and Hurghada. Our students experienced and practiced the life here. Most importantly, we taught them values on site.
