Photography Exhibition Opened in Kazakhstan in the Memory of Atatürk

Yunus Emre Institute commemorated the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, with events organized in different parts of the world on the 84th anniversary of his passing away.

Astana Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center opened the photo exhibition titled “November 10 Atatürk with Memories" at the Military Museum of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.

40 PHOTOGRAPHS OF ATATURK'S LIFE

The exhibition included 40 photographs from the archives of the Turkish Historical Society, reflecting many aspects of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's life, from his military life, which began with the rank of lieutenant, to the establishment of the Republic, to the period when he was elected president after the establishment of the Republic.

The exhibition was attended by Deputy Head of Department of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan Tölegen Bölecanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Astana Ufuk Ekici, 24th Term MP of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and Member of the Supervisory Board of Yunus Emre Institute Ali Özgündüz, Deputy Coordinator of Astana Yunus Emre Institute Almagül İssina, diplomatic representatives, representatives of various institutions and organizations, scientists, members of the press and guests.

Ali Özgündüz, 24th Term MP of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and Member of the Supervisory Board of Yunus Emre Institute, said that commemorating Atatürk in Kazakhstan on November 10 brings a different feeling to people.

Özgündüz stated that they laid a wreath at the largest monument of Atatürk in Central Asia in Astana and said, "We would like to take this opportunity to thank those who contributed to the construction of that monument. In this exhibition, which we organized to introduce Atatürk more closely to the Kazakh people, there were photographs of Atatürk as a statesman, soldier, diplomat, student, and on the battlefield."

Özgündüz emphasized that they want to introduce Atatürk in Central Asian Turkic Republics, Caucasus, Balkans, and, of course, in the world and noted that Yunus Emre Institute would continue to work with various activities to introduce Atatürk more closely.

VIDEO SCREENING OF THE 10th ANNIVERSARY SPEECH

In the program, on the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Republic, a video screening of the "10th Year Speech", which includes Atatürk's own voice, was held.

The military anthem played by the Military Orchestra of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the cherished souls of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, was highly appreciated by the guests.

As part of the program, the Kazakh and Turkish Music Ensemble gave a concert of Atatürk's favorite songs such as "Vardar Ovası", "Bülbülüm Altın Kafeste", and "Fikrimin İnce Gülü".

At the end of the program, the charcoal Atatürk portrait works of Albina Abenova, one of the trainees of Astana Yunus Emre Institute, were presented to Tölegen Bölecanov, Deputy Head of Department of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, and Ali Özgündüz, 24th Term MP of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye and Member of the Supervisory Board of Yunus Emre Institute.

November 10 Atatürk with Memories Exhibition will be open to visitors at the Military Museum of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan for one month.
