“2024 Year of Culture and Art Route Meeting” Held in Cairo
Following the visit of our President to Egypt, the "2024 Culture and Art Route Meeting" was held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, on February 17, 2024, in order to determine the strategic steps to be taken in order to contribute to Türkiye's cultural interaction and humanitarian relations with Africa.
At the meeting held with the participation of Yunus Emre Institute Coordinators working in Africa, consultations were held on multi-dimensional studies, including bilateral, regional, continental and global, within the framework of strategies focusing on cultural and human values in line with the entrepreneurial and humanitarian foreign policy pursued by Türkiye in the international arena.
With a wide range of activities ranging from cultural interaction activities to the dissemination of Turkish teaching, future strategies and themes were discussed in order to contribute to the maximum level of human-centered relations based on trust between Africa and Türkiye.
In addition to the activities carried out, the fruitful collaborations established by the Institute with local institutions and organizations in different countries of Africa were also discussed, multi-faceted and multi-dimensional studies implemented within the framework of collaborations were evaluated and initiatives that could increase dialogue and opportunities between Türkiye and countries in Africa were emphasized at the meeting.
Cairo Yunus Emre Institute, one of the first representative offices of Yunus Emre Institute, will continue to contribute strategically to Türkiye-Egypt relations from now on, with the high number of Turkish trainees it has reached in the last 10 years and its activities that provide the basis for consolidating cultural interaction.
