Traditional Turkish Archery Introduced in Argentina

Yunus Emre Institute continues its activities to bring Türkiye's unique cultural elements to different continents and put Turkish culture at the center of attention worldwide.

As part of the Kemankeş Project carried out in different regions of the world in cooperation with Yunus Emre Institute and Archers Foundation, a "Traditional Turkish Archery Course" was launched in Buenos Aires with great interest and participation of the people of Argentina.

Trainer Juan Manuel Falcon stated: "Everyone here is delighted with the course and all our trainees are very interested in archery. Yunus Emre Institute brought traditional Turkish archery to this region.”

Falcon expressed the interest in traditional Turkish archery in Argentina with the following: "I came back here after receiving training at the Archers Foundation in Istanbul. I try to pass on the knowledge and experience I gained in Türkiye to our trainees. There are many people practicing here. Our trainees are more than pleased with the archery course and they wish to continue the course."

A participant in the traditional Turkish archery courses, Allana Romao commented: "It has been an incredible experience to learn this amazing sport, as well as to get to know the Institute and Turkish culture. I would love to continue the course and reach the advanced level."

Trainee Brain Quiroz said: "Our trainer's attitude towards the course and the trainees is excellent, as well as his teaching style. He teaches us Turkish archery with great care. I want to continue the courses and be the best in this wonderful sport."

PEOPLE OF ARGENTINA INTERESTED IN ARCHERY COURSES

Buenos Aires Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Aydın Bayat stated that the number of applications for archery courses exceeded three times the anticipated quota and stated: "As Buenos Aires Yunus Emre Institute, we carry out various activities and projects on different grounds such as cultural diplomacy, educational diplomacy, gastrodiplomacy and sports diplomacy. Our aim is to build strong cultural bridges between Argentina and Türkiye."

INCREASING CULTURAL INTERACTION BETWEEN TÜRKİYE AND ARGENTINA

Coordinator Bayat added: "As part of the projects we have implemented, we strive to promote the admirable and rich elements of Turkish culture in Argentina, as well as to increase cultural interaction between the cultures of the two countries."

The courses, which start with teaching the basics of Turkish archery, will continue for 12 weeks.

After the courses, successful trainees will be presented with their certificates.
