As part of the 100th anniversary events of the Republic of Turkey, the photography exhibition titled "Türkiye's Long Story: The First Century of the Republic", organized in cooperation with Baku Yunus Emre Institute and ADA University, was opened.

TRNC Baku Representative Ufuk Turganer, Baku Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Selçuk Karakılıç, members of the Turkish Embassy in Baku, representatives of Turkish institutions and students attended the opening of the exhibition hosted by ADA University.

In his speech at the opening, ADA University Vice Rector Fariz İsmailzade said that the historical victory won under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk liberated the lands of Türkiye.
Vice Rector İsmailzade explained that Türkiye entered a very serious development process after the declaration of the Republic.

Emphasizing that the brotherhood between Türkiye and Azerbaijan is eternal,  “In recent years, the Türkiye-Azerbaijan brotherhood has grown and included other Turkish-speaking states. The union of Turkish-speaking states is developing rapidly. Statements saying that 'the 21st century will be the century of the Turks' are made. I agree and believe in this thought because today we are witnessing the general development of Turkish-speaking peoples. Brother Türkiye is at the center and basis of this process,” İsmailzade said.

Baku Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Selçuk Karakılıç said that in the "Türkiye's Long Story: The First Century of the Republic Exhibition, the cultural and scientific change and transformation that Türkiye has gone through is explained with photographs.

Coordinator Karakılıç said, “While opera, theatre, music and cultural centers were opened in the first years of the Republic, universities, fabric factories and science and technology centers in various fields were also rapidly opened. In the following years, this cultural change gained great momentum. Today's modern Türkiye's worldwide cultural and technological revolution is the result of 100 years of experience. For the last twenty years, Türkiye has created an ecosystem all over the world with its technological and cultural exports in every field." he said.
