“World in Blue Exhibition” Opened in Zagreb

As part of the 100th anniversary events of the Republic of ürkiye, the exhibition titled "World in Blue", featuring the works of Painter Reşit İsmet, opened at Zagreb Yunus Emre Institute.

At the event held in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Zagreb, Zagreb Yunus Emre Institute, Zagreb Municipality Turkish Minority Representation and Rijeka Croatian-Turkish Association, nearly 50 works of Painter Reşit İsmet, reflected on canvas with acrylic technique, were exhibited.

Türkiye's Ambassador to Zagreb Yavuz Selim Kıran, who attended the opening of the exhibition, noted that they added a new one to the special events by opening the exhibition of Turkish Painter Reşit İsmet at Zagreb Yunus Emre Institute within the scope of the 100th anniversary of the Republic events.

In his speech, painter Reşit İsmet stated that one of the greatest wishes of all painters was to open an exhibition in the capital Zagreb, and that the Turkish Embassy in Zagreb and Zagreb Yunus Emre Institute made this dream come true.

Zagreb Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Fuat Korkmaz said, "We are very pleased to host the first exhibition in Zagreb of Painter Reşit İsmet, who reflects his colorful and striking works on his canvases, inspired by the blues of Selce and the Adriatic." made his assessment.

Reşit İsmet, who is also a musician, also gave a mini concert at the event.

The World in Blue Exhibition will be open to art lovers at Zagreb Yunus Emre Institute until December 11th, 2023.
