Argentinians, who started showing more interest in Turkey and Turkish culture with the influence of Turkish TV series in Argentina, are learning Turkish at Buenos Aires Yunus Emre Institute.

The first Turkish certificate ceremony was held on January 5, 2023 at the Buenos Aires Yunus Emre Institute, which started its activities in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, in 2021.

At the ceremony held with the participation of Undersecretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Buenos Aires Adil Cüneyt Akbay and YEI Buenos Aires Coordinator Aydın Bayat, Argentine trainees who successfully completed their Turkish courses were presented their certificates.

INTENSE INTEREST IN TURKISH COURSES IN ARGENTINA

At the ceremony where Argentinian trainees were excited to receive their Turkish certificates, Buenos Aires Yunus Emre Institute Coordinator Aydın Bayat emphasized that Argentinians showed great interest in Turkish courses.

"IN THE FUTURE, I WANT TO IMPROVE MY TURKISH EVEN FURTHER AND GET A C1 LEVEL TURKISH CERTIFICATE"

Argentinian trainee Florencia Moyano stated that she enrolled in the Turkish course immediately after Yunus Emre Institute started its activities in Argentina and said: "I became interested in Turkish and Turkish culture by watching Turkish TV series. Today I received my A1 level Turkish certificate. In the future, I want to improve my Turkish even further and get a C1 level Turkish Certificate."

PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES WILL COME TOGETHER TO SPEAK "TURKISH"

Coordinator Aydın Bayat noted that over 700 Argentinian trainees have enrolled in the Turkish language courses in this semester alone, and stated that they are pleased with the great interest in Turkish. He added that they aim to bring people from different countries together around "Turkish" through the Turkish speaking clubs they plan to organize in the near future.

The certificate ceremony ended with Turkish songs performed by Argentinian musicians and some Turkish delicacies.

CULTURAL INTERACTION IS INCREASED BY BUILDING BRIDGES OF THE HEART

Buenos Aires Yunus Emre Institute continues teaching Turkish to a large number of Argentinians through its online and face-to-face Turkish courses.

In addition to the cultural activities it carries out to promote Turkey's cultural heritage, the Institute builds "bridges of the heart" between Argentina and Turkey through the Turkish language courses it organizes, thus increasing cultural interaction between the two countries.
